Dear whomever this may concern,

On Saturday afternoon I ventured to my local Waitrose, as I do every weekend, and I was APPALLED to see it had been removed and replaced by a repulsive looking foreign supermarket named Aldi. As I had already put myself out of my way to go shopping, I had missed Downton Abbey, I decided to be an open minded citizen and go in. NEVER again!

How can one justify selling boxes of breakfast cereal for 47 pence? Do you produce it in a factory or is it simply dog food? Though, that would explain the general aroma of your shop floor. Why you haven’t extended your budget to purchase one of your very own air fresheners for £1.47 I do not know.

I am truly shaken by my experience. There was not a single worker in sight on the shop floor to help a woman like myself and the absolute worst aspect was that I had to pack my OWN bags!

I shan’t visit this foreign supermarket again and may I suggest you improve the quality of your products or simply move premises to allow for Waitrose’s return.

Yours sincerely,

Edna Welthorpe
